Fur and feather fanciers flock to Mount Forest event
Teagan Byrd of Fergus cuddles a three-week old pygmy goat. It was for sale, along with its mother at the fur and feather fanciers event. Teagan also had other animals, including silkies and bunnies for sale.

Fur and feathers - The Saugeen Valley Fur and Feather Fanciers Association held its fall show and sale in Mount Forest on Oct. 6. The event, now hosted by the All Ontario Fur and Feather Association, once again drew large crowds from far and wide on an almost balmy Sunday morning. Some years there has been snow for the event.

Nick Clark and Sarah Fletcher of Waterloo were wandering around the show and sale with their “own personal pigeons”. Clark said they brought the birds “to see all the other pigeons”.
Eight-year-old Nicole Hoerdt of Arthur had lop bunnies, including the one she is holding, for sale at the Mount Forest event.
