FUGLSANG, Gunnar Mikkelsen

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Gunnar Mikkelsen Fuglsang at the age of 88 at his home in West Luther with his family by his side. Our broken hearts say goodbye to an incredibly loved Husband, Father, Grandpa, Opa and Friend. Despite constant pain for many many years he stayed strong until the end. Gunnar was born and raised in Denmark and came to Canada at the age of 24 where he met the love of his life, Martha Hoge. They married a short time later and celebrated 63 wonderful years together following their dreams and raising a family. Loving Father to Nancy (Doug) and Glenn (Heather). Cherished Grandpa to Devin (Kayla), Charleigh (Daniel), Nikki (Kurtis), Andrew, Scott (Brittany), Christina (Glen) and Jamie (Christina). Much loved Opa to Jaxon, Logan, Wallis, Avery, Hanna, Halden, Freya, Joseph and Isabella. Sadly missed by his (adopted daughter) Kim and husband Jake and special friends and neighbours Theresa and Larry. Fondly remembered by many relatives in Denmark that he held dear. We will always carry your memory in our hearts forever. The family gratefully acknowledges the wonderful care of Dr. Jones and Dr. Lin of Arthur and the nurses at Groves Memorial Hospital. To honour the wishes of Gunnar cremation has taken place and arrangements entrusted to Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home. A celebration of Life will be held this summer.
