Friends of the Grand River tree planting event supports Carroll Creek area
A little help – Friends of the Grand River, along with about 30 volunteers, planted some 300 trees along Caroll Creek, just off Middlebrook Road in Centre Wellington on April 30. The trees help stabilize the creek bank and will help shade the river and keep the water temperature from heating up. Brad Knarr works the wheelbarrow, and Bob Whitfield passes the trees to Larry Leisti as the event gets going. Photos by Joanne Shuttleworth
