FRANCISCO, Brenda Joan
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on October 31st 2023 at Barnswallow Care Community in Elmira. Joan was born in Ireland on July 20, 1943, grew up in England, and moved to Canada at 18. Joan is predeceased by her parents, Mina and Percy Parks, and partner Robert Cowie. Loving mother of three children Mandy (Barry), Suzanne (Gary), Mark, and proud grandmother of Emily, Gillian, Shannon. She is survived by her sister Phyllis Laura and former spouse David Francisco. The family would like to thank the staff at Barnswallow Place Care Community for their incredible warmth and compassionate care of Joan. A small service was held on Saturday November 4th 2023 at 2pm for Joan’s family and friends at Graham Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus. In lieu of flowers, anyone who so wishes is asked to make a small donation in Joan’s name to Homewood Health Centre in Guelph or CAMH.
