FORSYTHE, Robert John

Passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the age of 70. Formerly from Elora Ontario, he spent his last three years in his happy place on Vancouver Island. Predeceased by his parents Kenneth “Max” Forsythe (2002) and Margaret Isabel Forsythe (2019), and brothers David (2018) and Kenneth (2016). Survived and missed by his brothers William (Deborah) and Peter (Shelagh). Loved by his nieces and nephews Christa, Mike, Ashley, Jessica, Logan, Grace, Katie, Maxworth, Patrick and Timothy. Lovingly remembered by his many friends, many of whom have fond memories of countless fishing trips over the years. He retired after a lifelong career at the Farm Mutual Reinsurance Plan and while on the island he spent his final years giving back to his community, where he was a dedicated volunteer at the Lighthouse Hall. To honour Rob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday January 3rd from 1-3pm at the Elora Legion, 110 Metcalfe St, Elora.
