Floodwater plan to proceed
It looks like the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority is moving ahead on plans to address flooding in Minto.
In comments on the recent MVCA minutes, Mayor David Anderson noted the group has moved to proceed with a floodwater management plan for Harriston area.
He cited a previous presentation made by the MVCA to Minto and some of those recommendations.
The board has approved a floodwater plan for our municipality, Anderson said.
Treasurer Gord Duff said he believes that project is moving ahead fairly well.
