FITZPATRICK, Eva Jean Saunders Hutchison

Was in her 100th year. She began life on 17th of November 1926, on a farm in the Township of West Luther born to Mary Ellen (Samuel) & Hugh Martin Saunders. She was the 2nd of a family of 4, Ann (Harry Givens), Jim (Eleanor Gale) & Hugh, they have all predeceased her. Eva married Harvey Bert Hutchison in 1947 they farmed in West Luther &  were blessed with 3 children, Paul (Sue Wheeler), Mary Ann (Rob Colbeck) &  Sandra (Ken Mercer). Harvey died from a car accident in 1953 & Eva left the  farm & moved into the Town of Arthur. Eva married Earl William Fitzpatrick in 1957, they moved to Milton at the same time. Eva enjoyed many years in the Hospitality sector being employed by the Jockey Club both in Campbellville & Toronto. Earl worked for the CP Rail at the Guelph Junction in Campbellville until his retirement. They continued living in Milton until after Earl’s demise & when Eva required more care she moved to the Villages of Winston Park in Kitchener until her demise on 4th of December 2025. They were blessed with 3 children, Terry (Jenny Russell & Karen MacDougall), Donna (Mark Lewis) & Dale (Lorna Bolton), the family had now grown to 6 children. She enjoyed the company of her 10 Grandchildren & 11 Great Grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Milton. Eva loved life, her family & friends, one of the fun things she enjoyed was going out for a meal anywhere & anytime. Memorial donations in Evas’ name could be made to her favourite charities being the Milton District Hospital Auxillary & the Milton Salvation Army Food Bank.  We are extremely grateful for the care & affection from the staff in the “Trussler Neighbourhood” at Winston Park. There will be a Celebration of Life in early June of 2026, notice will be provided when all is arranged.
