Fitzgeralds return to Fergus Grand Theatre

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Join the Fergus Grand Theatre for perennial favourites The Fitzgeralds, the fiddling, singing, step-dancing family, who roll into town with their holiday show on Dec. 2 at 8pm.

“I’ve wanted to include a holiday concert in our presenting series for a while now,” says theatre coordinator Eric Goudie.

“I encourage everyone to come out to downtown Fergus and do a little starlight shopping prior to the show.”

The Fitzgeralds consist of three-time Canadian grandmaster fiddle and step dance champions Tom, Kerry and Julie Fitzgerald.

With roots in Canada’s renowned Ottawa Valley, The Fitzgeralds have evolved to include a wide variety of material in their performances, including Celtic fiddle pieces, high-energy step dancing, and a strong focus on original compositions and arrangements.

Their extensive tour history includes performances with notable artists like Natalie MacMaster, Ireland’s Nathan Carter, Leahy, Tony McManus, Cherish the Ladies, The StepCrew, and Lunasa.

It is the rare combination of exceptional musicianship, mind-blowing step dancing, audience interaction, evident love of performing, and genuine sibling connection that resonates with audiences of all ages and sets this group apart.

This show is the latest installment in the Fergus Grand Theatre’s “Better Together” presenting series.

Tickets are $35 each and selling fast, available in the box office, by phone at 519-787-1981, or online at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca.
