Fergus Pipe Band celebrated the season
Christmas party - The Fergus Pipe Band led the Fergus Santa Claus parade on Dec. 8. After the parade it is tradition for the band to hold its annual Christmas party and present an award to a band member who preserves the spirit of the band and goes above and beyond their normal band duties. This year drummer Stephanie Little, right, won the James MacKenzie plaque on the merit of bringing a pipe band from Pleasanton California, a sister city to Fergus, to participate in this year’s Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games. Pipe major Murray Young presented the award.
