Fergus Highland Rugby Club’s U18 girls team celebrate big win
FERGUS – The Fergus Highland Rugby Club’s U18 girls team struck gold during the club’s celebration of women and girls in a match against North Halton on June 25. Pre-match festivities saw players from the club’s U12 and U14 girls teams accompany the players onto the pitch, escorted by a bagpiper. The match itself was tightly contested, with Highland finding victory on a late try and successful conversion with time running down, officials stated. The final score was 21-19 for Highland.
