FEENSTRA, Pietje Nellie (nee Vanderweit)
Passed into glory on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in her 98th year at Eden House with her family by her side. Nellie is reunited with her husband John (2017). Loving mother of Oscar (Joanne) of Acton, Greta Wedge and the late Clifford of Guelph, Ann (Jack) Lanthier of Rockwood, John (Lisa) of Guelph, Charlotte (Jerry) Trotter of Apsley and Pamela Feenstra of Guelph. Grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her youngest son Thomas Feenstra, her two oldest grandsons Kenneth and Jeffery Feenstra. Nellie is survived by her brothers in the Netherlands Wijtze (Anke) Vanderweit and Tjert (Lippie) Vanderweit, sister in law Rose Vanderweit of Guelph. She was predeceased by her siblings Tom, Chip, Ike, Jean Pool and Marie Andringa. Nellie was born in Blije Friesland, Netherlands on December 30, 1923 and immigrated to Canada in 1948 with John and 3 children. She was a long time member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Acton. Special “Thanks” to the caring staff at Eden House for their care and compassion. A private family service will take place at Coningsby Cemetery.
