FAYEZ, Carrie

Carolyn ‘Carrie’ Jean (Speare) Fayez of Harriston, passed away at Guelph General Hospital, on Sunday, May 22, 2022, in her 57th year. Daughter of the late Richard ‘Dick’ and Jean (Dennison) Speare and predeceased by her sister Cathy Speare. Mother of Jordan, Sarah, Emily, and Laura Fayez, and remembered by their father Khaled.  Aunt of Mark Mugford and Caleigh Mugford, and their children. Carrie was a ‘domestic diva’. She was a fun-loving member of her church, its choir, and praise team. She was an avid baker and loved to design cakes and bake with her girls. She also loved hanging out at the beach with her girls. She enjoyed watching sports, cooking, watching her shows and games shows, and on January 1, you could not interrupt her Rose Bowl parade! Her radio was always playing 80’s music. She knew every word and always sang along. In the summer, you would find her on the porch at the cottage with the music playing, and her enjoying the sunny summer weather. Carrie loved get-togethers, BBQs, fireworks, and hosting birthday parties and holidays. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by her beautiful children, many friends, and extended family. Visitation was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Interment and committal services will be held at Harriston Cemetery on Thursday, May 26, 2022, followed by the Celebration of Carrie’s life at Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church, Harriston, at 11:00am.  Rev. Wayne Lucas officiating. Memorial donations to Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church, Harriston would be appreciated. Online condolences may be left at www.hardyleefuneralhome.com
