Farm to Fork event celebrates local produce
HILLSBURGH - A Farm to Fork Experience will be held on Oct. 4 to help connect local farmers, growers and producers with the community.
The alfresco dinner event will take place at the 4th Line Cattle Co., from 6 to 9pm, showcasing area produce and proteins.
On Sept. 3, Erin town council passed a resolution to allow local beer and cider to be served.
All vegetables and fruit for the meal will be from Vandenbroek family farm, beef will be from the host farm, and the chicken will be from down the road at Calehill farm.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Erin food bank.
