Family Day Winter Classic in Puslinch scheduled for Feb. 15, 16 and 17
ABERFOYLE - The Family Day Winter Classic here will take place from Feb 15 to 17.
The weekend begins with an adult hockey tournament on Feb. 15 and 16.
At the Optimist Recreation Centre rink on Feb. 15 the adult hockey tournament runs from 9am to 8:30pm. Across the parking
lot at the community centre there will be a bar and food from 11am to 6pm.
On Feb. 16 the tournament will continue at the rink from 9am to 5pm while the community centre will offer a bar and food from 11am to 6pm.
Monday offers fun for the family with numerous events throughout the day.
In addition to family skating, the rink will host human bowling and redneck curling.
In the gym, tryout pickle ball (indoor running shoes required). Events at the community centre includes face painting, a magician performance and free hotdogs and hot chocolate for kids.
Various games and activities will also be offered in the community park, including: a bonfire and entertainment, participation games, archery, giant slingshot, horse drawn sleigh rides, antique Bombardier school bus rides, a fire department safety demo, snowshoeing and a scavenger hunt.
