Erin to provide $30,000 in grants to 21 local groups, organizations
ERIN – The Town of Erin will provide $30,000 in grants to 21 organizations, officials announced during a March 12 council meeting.
This year, the town received 28 applications totalling $63,183 in requests, compared to 23 totalling $36,508 in 2025.
Submissions were reviewed by the community grants committee on Feb. 19. This year’s grant recipients are:
- The Children’s Foundation of Guelph/Wellington, $3,000;
- East Wellington Community Services, $1,000;
- Elora Centre for Environmental Excellence’s Tree Trust Program, $1,000;
- Erin Agricultural Society, $3,000;
- Erin Air Cadets Ross Ferguson 242 Squadron, $1,500;
- Erin Arts Foundation – Century Church, $1,250;
- Erin District Lions Club, $3,000;
- Erin Farmers Market, $2,000;
- Erin Garden Club – Horticultural Society, $500;
- Erin-Hillsburgh Minor Hockey, $1,500;
- Erin Sparks and Embers, $500;
- Erin Village Quilters, $700;
- Erin Young at Heart Singers and Band, $1,500;
- Girl Guides of Canada, $750;
- Hillsburgh Erin and District Soccer Club, $1,500;
- Hillsburgh Erin Skating Club, $1,500;
- Hillsburgh Horticultural Society and Garden Club, $300;
- Over Here Community Arts Adventure, $2,250;
- Royal Canadian Legion, $2,000;
- The Grove Cemetery, $700; and
- Upper Credit Humane Society, $550).
Funding recipients will be notified via email, and cheques will be dropped off in the coming weeks.
