Erin council paid $101,000 for 2015

Mayor Allan Alls and four councillors were paid a total of $100,987 in remuneration last year.

In a March 22 report, the annual breakdown of remuneration for each councillor was presented.

The council is paid by salary with Alls receiving $26,000 and each councillor receiving $15,600. Alls also received $4,755 for expenses, including conferences.

Councillor John Brennan received $4,262 for expenses including $3,298 for conferences. Councillor Jeff Duncan received $3,188 for expenses including conferences.

Both councillors Matt Sammut and Rob Smith did not receive conference expenses but received $264 and $115 respectively.

The town also paid out a total of $4,462 for members of the committee of adjustment, livestock evaluators and fence viewers.

Director of finance Sharon Marshall said all amounts were within the 2015 budget estimates and council received the report for information.
