ENGLISH, Ronald David

Of Mount Forest Ontario, passed away peacefully on Friday June 23rd in his 78th year. He was born to William and Florence English of Toronto. Following high school, Ron joined the Army and during his time of service, he became a father to his three wonderful children, Lissa. Jody and David. After leaving the Army, he moved back to Toronto and began his career working at Canteen of Canada. Many years later he met and married Geri and became a stepfather to Christopher and Katherine. Ron had a larger than life personality and was a big fan of Elvis Presley. He was also a proud member of the Lions Organization, the Legion, and competed for many years in the Dogsport community. Ron is predeceased in death by his daughter, Lissa, and his parents. Ron will be remembered by his wife, children, grandchildren, also his brothers John (Barb), Bill (Diane) along with his many nieces, nephews and friends. Ron’s celebration of his life will be held at The Salvation Army Church, Listowel on Monday August 14th at 12:00 noon followed by a service and a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ontario Kidney Foundation.
