Elora Singers open 2026-2027 concert season with the Barrel Boys
FERGUS – The Elora Singers launches its 2026-2027 concert season next week with a collaboration featuring Canadian bluegrass and roots ensemble, the Barrel Boys.
Bringing together two distinctive musical voices, officials say this opening concert promises to be an evening of vibrant harmonies, spirited musicianship, and a fresh take on the choral experience.
Following their collaboration at the Elora Festival’s Barn Dance this summer, The Elora Singers and the Barrel Boys reunite to explore music rooted in the Appalachian Mountains, gospel traditions and Canada’s shores.
The program features Jake Runestad’s Mountain Songs, a vibrant work inspired by the folk music and landscapes of Appalachia, alongside traditional works by Dolly Parton, Gordon Lightfoot and many others.
The audience will have the opportunity to add their voices to the program, becoming part of the music in a special sing-along moment with the choir and band.
Together, the ensembles bring their distinctive sounds together for an evening of music and celebration, officials say.
Tickets are available online now and by calling 519-846-0331.
