Elora Community Theatre celebrates 50 years
Celebrating 50 – The Elora Community Theatre is 50 years old. A reception was held on Sept. 25 at the Wellington County Museum to celebrate the occasion. People who have been involved with the group, past and present, came to talk about their time with the theatrical group, including Mary Beth Rutherford, left, who was in the audience during the first play that the theatre group presented. Gary Bryant, middle, is a well-known actor in the area and Deb Stanson is current president of the ECT. The group has performed over 150 shows in different venues but now the Fergus Grand Theatre is where they mostly perform. Speakers included Centre Wellington councillor Ian MacRae and county councillor Mary Lloyd, a past actor with the ECT. Photo by Bill Longshaw
