Elora bridgework update: East sidewalk across Grand River reopening delayed
It looks like the reopening of the east sidewalk on the downtown bridge in Elora (Badley Bridge) will be delayed until May 30 - 31.
An email from Wellington County’s roads division engineering services construction manager Mark Eby stated, “The west sidewalk was completed and the sidewalk was opened prior to the long weekend. The east sidewalk is currently under construction.
“We originally anticipated having the east sidewalk open for this weekend but that will now no longer be the case. The sidewalk will remain closed this weekend and be reopened for next weekend,” he continued.
He added the curb work and total closure of the road is still scheduled for the week of the June 1.
