Elora author to launch debut novel Sept. 12

ELORA – Local author Skylar Hammond is hosting a drop-in launch for their debut novel The Life and Loss of Joseph Moore Sept. 12 at the Elora legion from 3 to 6pm. 

The novel follows Joseph Moore, a man who has disappeared twice. The first time, he came back. The second time, he left behind this book. 

“An engineer at the edge of his own unravelling, Joseph spent much of his life reaching for something his father reached for first, and it cost them both everything. 

“In the weeks before he vanishes for good, he sets it all down in this manuscript: the childhood in his father’s cold academic shadow, the mysterious figure in the navy blue suit he’s been seeing since he was a child, and the world-altering answers he claims to have finally found,” reads a news release.

Hammond will do a reading from the book at 4pm and copies will be available for sale. No RSVP is required.
