Electric Vinyl Orchestra returns to Elora Nov. 7

ELORA – It’s become a much-loved fall tradition in Centre Wellington, officials say, and this November, Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra (EVO) is ready to get the Elora Legion dance floor moving once again.

The Guelph-based band returns on Nov. 7 for another evening of rhythms, familiar favourites, and the kind of feel-good music that brings people together, officials say.

For well over a decade, EVO has been entertaining audiences at the Elora Legion, building a loyal following and welcoming new fans with every performance.

From its early days playing a benefit concert at the Elora Centre for the Arts to its now-established fall appearances, the band has become a welcome part of the local music scene.

Drawing inspiration from the dance-hall sounds of the 1930s through the 1960s, Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra delivers a lively mix of jump, jive, swing, and rhythm and blues.

With a driving upright bass, punchy saxophones, rich harmonies, and plenty of personality, their music has a way of getting under your skin – and into your feet. You simply can’t help but move to the music, officials say.

Featuring favourites made famous by artists such as Elvis, Ray Charles and Etta James, EVO’s repertoire is packed with timeless songs that invite you to sing along, tap your toes, hit the dance floor, or simply soak up the atmosphere.

Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking for a fun night out, this is an enjoyable evening for all ages.

Gather your friends, bring your dancing shoes, and join the crowd for another memorable night at the Elora Legion.

After all these years, this fall tradition is still all about great music, good company and having a whole lot of fun, officials say.

Doors open at the Elora Legion at 7:30pm; music starts at 8pm.

Tickets are $25 and are available through Ticketscene.
