CENTRE WELLINGTON – After the success of last year’s production of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Elora Community Theatre will be staging Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.
The local theatre troupe will present Austen’s classic tale of reputation and romance with Sense and Sensibility, playing May 2 to 4 and May 9 to 11 at the Fergus Grand Theatre.
Left desperate and destitute after the sudden death of their father, the Dashwood sisters of Norland Park have become the talk of 18th-century English society. While rumours swirl surrounding their future and fate, the sensible Elinor (Laura Hunter) and sensitive Marianne (Rachel Estok) must navigate passion and prejudice in Austen’s beloved novel.
Showtimes include Fridays 8 pm; Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm; and Sundays 2pm.
Tickets are available at the Fergus Grand Theatre Box Office by calling (519)787-1981 or online fergusgrandtheatre.ca.
