Economic Development Task Force appointments made
Centre Wellington now has 10 members on its Economic Development Task Force.
They are John Bott, Chris Bryant, Bob Cameron, Steve Dawkins, Colin Harding, Tim Horton, George Mochrie, Tony Morris, Don Vallery and Paul Walker.
Centre Wellington’s economic development officer Pat Rutter said the township was fortunate to have an abundance of applications.
Four are returning members while six are new.
Rutter said that in discussing the applications, it was felt each applicant had a body of knowledge and level of expertise which would benefit the committee.
That led to a recommendation to approve all 10 - even though it exceeds the proposed committee size.
CAO Andy Goldie noted the township had hoped to fill its committees by the end of May.
However some committees have been lacking in applications particularly in community services and heritage.
