It is with great sadness that the family of John Dyble announces his passing on December 4, 2025. Beloved husband of Marjorie for 54 years. Loving Father of Melissa (Steven) Smeltzer and Jason (Trisha) Dyble. Cherished Grandfather of Logan, Maya, Nolan, Chloe, Ayva, Scarlett and Alice. Dear brother to Morris Dyble and brother-in-law to Janice. Predeceased by brother-in-law Robert Grills. John will be missed by many nieces and nephews. John came to Canada with his parents and brother in 1952 from England. He was proud to serve in the Canadian Army and later spent many years as a dedicated real estate agent. John adored his dogs—and later, his “grand-dogs”—that brought him much joy. In retirement, he loved cruising in his cherished Dodge Charger and spending time out on the water, fishing from his boat. John will be remembered for his passion for fishing, wonderful sense of humour and the laughter he so easily shared. Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Donations to St. John’s United Church, Belwood, The Guelph Humane Society or Groves Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are entrusted with Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home.
