DRIMMIE, Patricia
The family of Patricia Elizabeth Drimmie are deeply saddened to share that she passed away on January 31, 2026. Patricia, has dearly missed her husband Harold of 70 years and we hope they are together once more. Patricia one of four children leaves behind her dear brother Charles and was predeceased by Linda and Ken Trowbridge. Also close, is her sister-in-law and friend, Bettie Garvin. Patricia’s love of family was fostered though her children Stephen (predeceased), Terry and Bobbi, Michelle and Ken. Times spent playing with and guiding her grandchildren were always a highlight. Missing her are Norm and Amy (Drimmie), Terry Jay and Christine (Drimmie), Tracey and Al, Chrystal (Ingerman), Keegan and Maryanne (Miller) and Devon and Anna Lise (Miller) as well as seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. This big group assembled to celebrate holidays, birthdays and just for visits too. Patricia lived a full life raising her family, assisting with the accounting for Drimmie’s Mill, as well as devoting 35 years active participation at the Elora Medical Group. Many a chilly time was spent at the Curling Club playing on various teams. Her boundless energy also led her to gather her many groups of friends in endless social events. Monday coffee with the condo ladies, monthly lunch with the Lunch Bunch, the Rummoli Group and many more. Quieter times were spent oil painting, sewing and decorating. Always a community supporter: Patricia was a member of the Elora United church and active on the Elora Legion Women’s Auxiliary, the Little Theatre Group and Elora Center for the Arts. No costume was too challenging to produce and no ask for volunteer time declined. Her grandchildren also benefited as she could produce any Halloween costume they desired. Patricia influenced Elora through her decades long work with the Elora Planning Board and the Committee of Adjustment. Our beautifully designed village is reflected today in those earlier guidelines. Many Sundays were devoted to visiting sites with Harold while they assessed if the requested adjustment to the plan would be problematic. Pat and Hal enjoyed a wide circle of friends and traveled extensively-often with the “No Whiner’s Club”. When out with friends, guests at neighbouring tables were known to ask if they could join their table, as they seemed to be having so much fun. Pat and Hal kept the same group of close friends from their early childhood and welcomed many new friends along the way. Friends and family joined Pat and Hal at their Florida home to partake in the sunshine during our cold winter months. The family invites friends to join them in a Celebration of Life on Saturday March 14th, 2-4:00pm at The Wellington County Museum and Archives in Aboyne Hall. Those wishing to donate can send to Aboyne Rural Hospice, PO Box 3004, Elora Ontario N0B 1S0 or at aboyneruralhospice.org
