Drayton U11 hockey to host memorial tournament
DRAYTON – The Drayton Defenders U9 Local League hockey team is set to host the annual Tyler Lopers Memorial Hockey Tournament on Feb. 7.
The tournament, in its 19th year, will be held at the PMD arena.
Lopers grew up in Drayton and was diagnosed with cancer in March 2006 and died in December that year. He was 17 years old.
All proceeds from the tournament will go to supporting Drayton Minor Hockey.
