Apparently a single night is no longer enough for council meetings here.

For the second time in as many months, Erin council’s meetings have reached the 11pm cutoff, and had to be continue another day.

Last month, the second half of the meeting was held the same night as a previously scheduled working meeting of council. Last week, part two of the June 5 meeting was held on June 6, following a special meeting council had set with its fire chief.

As council wrapped up the meeting with a confirming bylaw for both nights, Mayor Lou Maieron asked, “Who would like to make a motion to adjourn this lengthiest meeting of council.”

The motion to adjourn was made by councillor Josie Wintersinger and seconded by councillor Barb Tocher.
