DINNIWELL, Kalvin James

born January 17, 1967, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at Hospice Wellington in Guelph. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and a gentle kindness that touched everyone who knew him. A dedicated millwright for over 25 years, Kalvin approached his trade with immense pride, skill, and reliability. Those same qualities defined his personal life; he was a man admired for his humor, generosity, and selfless nature. Beyond his career, Kalvin was a natural storyteller. He had a rare gift for lifting spirits, spinning jokes, and bringing people together. Kalvin is lovingly remembered by his children, Naomi Dinniwell (Matthew Johnson) and Austin Dinniwell (Tiffany), and his cherished granddaughter, Maeve Johnson. He is also survived by his father, James Dinniwell, and his sisters, Susan Hartman (Lyle) and Dianna Sheffield. He rejoins his late mother, Naomi “Dell” Dinniwell, and his sister, Valerie. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Kalvin was the kind of person who showed up when it mattered most, offering help without hesitation and making the world a little lighter. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and the lasting difference he made in the lives of those he loved. A private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com. A tree will be planted in memory of Kalvin J. Dinniwell in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
