DIEFENBACHER, Edward Ira
November 26, 1938 – November 22, 2025 of Drayton passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Gladys Diefenbacher for 68 years. Dear father of Linda and Bob Bosomworth, Donald Diefenbacher andthe late Karen Diefenbacher (2024) and Collin and Anita Diefenbacher. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Scott and Angela, Keith, Kyle, Lindsey and Alex, Megan and Ryan, Emily, Sarah. Dear brother of Florence and Walter Martin, Elaine Frey, Earl Diefenbacher and Doris Mackenzie. Predeceased by his parents Aaron and Irene (Martin) Diefenbacher, grandson Jonathan (1998), sister Vera and Abner Bowman, Aleda Diefenbacher and brother Lorne and Elvina Diefenbacher and sister-in-law Esther Diefenbacher. The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton on Tuesday November 25, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00pm and Wednesday November 26, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm. A private family interment in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery prior to the funeral worship service that will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 11:00am in the Bethel Mennonite Church, 6772 Eighth Line West, R.R. # 1 Elora, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
