DETTA, Howard (Howie) Eldon
72, of Fergus, Ontario passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. Beloved son of Orville (deceased) and Phyllis Detta. Father to Jeff Detta (Natasha) of Fergus, Brad Detta (Yvette) of Fergus, and Amy Mathias (Philip) of Stow, Ohio. Loving Grandpa to five granddaughters: Elayna, Adalyn, Kinley, Emmery, and Genevieve. He is remembered by his siblings Ron (Doris), Brian, Bev (Norm), Helen, and Andy and by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Howie was an avid sportsman, loving anything to do with angling and hunting. He excelled at hockey and softball, talents that he passed on to all of his children. You will forever be in our hearts. Cremation has already taken place. His family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus.
