In Loving Memory David Ernest Davies

David passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and kindness. Beloved husband of Lynda for 53 wonderful years, he was a devoted brother to Leonard (Mary – deceased), Cathy, and Gordon (Monica). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, his cherished cat Muffin, the barn cats as well as Peanut and Faith, and all the other New Forest Ponies. David began married life as a dedicated dairy farmer, later working as a highway labourer, running a fencing company, and operating a small riding school where he shared his love of animals and the outdoors. As a former President of the Halton Peel Jersey Club and a proud member of the New Forest Pony Society of North America, as well as two driving clubs — the Tri-County Carriage Driving Club and the Ontario Carriage Driving Association — David built a lifetime of friendships through his community involvement. Known for his outgoing nature and easy laugh, David could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was encouraging, always willing to lend a hand, and deeply committed to his students, often taking time to connect with their parents as well. His humour, warmth, and generous spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
