DAVEIKIS, Evan

Age 21, of Elora, passed away on March 2, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 10, 2005. Evan was a brilliant and gifted human being with a deep passion for all things mechanical. He started taking apart his toys at age 2 and never stopped coming up with exciting “ideas”, cue the couch car! He’d literally sit on the driveway in jeans and take his car apart to the chassis, clean each part and then rebuild his car - simply amazing. That wasn’t his only talent - he was going to take the tech world by storm with his marvelous programming brain. He could talk circles around us when it came to computers, or anything space related for that matter. He had limitless potential. His Sheridan College friends, teachers and acquaintances have expressed how ingrained he was at the Sheridan Campus where he took Game Design- and how many special awards he had won in his years there. Beyond his intelligence, Evan was known for his wacky, sweet, generous spirit. He would always lend a hand, the kid never ever complained, he made time for everyone, and whether it was finishing someone’s homework for them in a crunch, cutting someone’s hair, cooking his fave people food or simply answering a favour for someone- Evan would do it. And he would do it with warmth and charisma - and if he was part of your story - then you definitely have stories - because he would say yes to anything and not care a lick in the world about what people thought of him doing it - or what he was wearing to do it!! Evan’s life was cut far too short. He suffered a massive brain bleed due to undiagnosed leukemia. He had no idea what happened - he did not suffer. His entire family and friends were able to say goodbye before he left this worldly earth. Evan was predeceased by his father Victor. He leaves behind a heartbroken family who loved him beyond words. His mother Kathleen, his step-dad Paul; best friends/siblings Alex, Jack and Beau, his sister-in-law Katie and the love of his life Grace. His grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends also feel the immeasurable void. He was his absolute happiest around Grace - she was his most favourite person. Special shoutout to his Oakville roomies Bruno, Bryce and Marin as well as his core friends growing up since kindergarten, Kaleb, Matt, Mark and Carl. A Celebration of Evan’s Life will be held on Saturday May 2nd, 2026 at the Arthur Arena/Community Center where he worked for the Township of Wellington North keeping their lawns beautiful and their arenas well zambonied. He loved his job there, and he tinkered as much as he could on the job. He will be greatly missed in as aspects of his life. Thank you Evan - for 21 years of pure happiness. You were the best son a mother could ever ask for. Pure perfection.
