Curl for a Cause raises $35,000 for local charities — Curl for a Cause returned in 2023 for its 15th year of supporting local charities in our community and it was a resounding success. This year, the club raised $35,050 for four deserving local charities: CW Food Bank, Elora Co-operative Preschool, FEDS Special Needs Soccer and KidsAbility Foundation. Displaying a big cheque are most of the main committee members, from left: representative from one of the club’s major sponsors Meridian Credit Union manager Kristan Lamb, Bruce Hawkins, event chair Laura Hofer, Bob Hook, John Campbell, Bob Fleischauer, Meridian represtative Angie Crossman, Rachel Luther (not pictured) and Chris Mudge.
