CULP, Jeffery “Jeff” Herbert Elmer
Passed away peacefully in his sleep, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, on September 16, 2026 at Waterloo Region Hospice, ON at the age of 46. Beloved partner and best friend of 16 years to Melissa Schrader. Cherished son of Don Culp and Helen MacDougall. Loving brother of Michelle Sarre (Chris) and Jamie Culp. Proud uncle of James, Brooklynn and Isabelle. Nephew of Lillian Jewer (late Ed), Jean Evans (late Dean), Dan MacDougall (Joyce), and Marilyn O’Donnell (Bud). Brother-in-law of Kyle Schrader and son-in-law of Lynn Schrader (late Hal). Predeceased by his grandparents Elmer and Mabel Culp, and Herb and Jean MacDougall, and by his uncles James (late Alice), Victor, Ronald, Stan, and Grant Culp. Jeff will be greatly missed by a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins, those who live locally in the Waterloo Region, Wellington County, across Canada and into the United States. Jeff’s family would like to express their gratitude for the Palliative Care Team and 6th floor staff at Grand River Hospital, as well as the amazing staff at Hospice of Waterloo Region for their warmth, support and attentive care. Cremation has taken place. Jeff’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00-8:00pm, on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A celebration of Jeff’s life will be announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Waterloo Region, Canadian Cancer Society or to the WRHN Foundation - Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
