‘Courteous, helpful’
Dear Editor:
RE: Township says contractor on hook for warped roads in Fergus, Elora, Jan. 29.
Unfortunately, we live in Canada and at times construction has to pause due to adverse weather conditions.
I am a resident of Colborne Street, situated right in the middle of the section that has been under construction since June.
We were clearly informed by both Drexler Construction and township employees that work would have to end for the season and that a temporary asphalt road surface would be installed.
They apologized for any inconvenience that this would cause.
Throughout this whole time period both the township and Drexler’s employees have been courteous, helpful, considerate and supportive as Colborne Street has undergone a major overhaul.
Looking on the bright side, the uneven road surface means that most of the traffic travels at the posted speed limit – bonus!
Ian Hornsby,
Elora
