WELLINGTON COUNTY – After 41 years of public service with the County of Wellington, planning director Aldo Salis is retiring effective Nov. 30.

Salis joined the county’s planning department in 1985 and has served as director since 2017.

“On behalf of county council, staff and the residents we proudly serve, I would like to sincerely thank Aldo for his 41 years of dedicated public service,” stated Warden Chris White.

CAO Scott Wilson stated, “The county has been fortunate to have had Aldo Salis in our planning department for 41 years.

“Aldo is one of the county’s longest serving employees and retires with an incredible reputation that is well-deserved.

“Aldo has had a remarkable career in public service. I wish him much happiness as he ventures into his retirement.”

Salis will attend his final county council on Sept. 24.
