County municipalities receive gas tax allocation
The county and its seven municipalities have received this year’s installment of the federal gas tax.
Wellington County has received $2,622,160 this year for infrastructure work.
Picking up the largest amount among the seven lower tier municipalities in the county was Centre Wellington at $799,053, while Guelph-Eramosa received $370,125.
Wellington North received $342,793 which township CAO Mike Givens has already been allocated for rehabilitation work on bridge 2 on Concession 6 north.
Erin received $341,965, Minto $260,860, Mapleton $302,179, and Puslinch $205,185.
