Council gets invite to other Minto's big party
Councillors here are invited to southern exposure this summer - to take part in another Minto anniversary.
From July 25 to 27, Minto, North Dakota will celebrate its 125th anniversary and its Mayor John Riskey invited all of Wellington County’s Minto council to join in. Local Minto Mayor David Anderson said Riskey sent an invitation to council, staff, and citizens.
Although Minto, North Dakota is not as populated, Anderson said if notice is made now, arrangements can be made to find accommodations.
“I’ve talked John Green [Mayor of Mapleton and Wellington County warden] and he’s expressed an interest in going, Anderson said. “If there’s enough interest, we may even get a bus.”
