Councillor Wayne Stokley would like to see Puslinch council proceed on items from its recent community forum.

Stokley said previously council had talked about having a council debriefing session with the forum facilitator. He asked if that person should be invited to council to talk about the meeting - and if it needs to be an open or closed meeting.

“We should move forward on this,” he said.

Mayor Dennis Lever said council did agree there should be a debriefing session. Lever also agreed that it should not wait too long.

“Whether it is in a closed meeting or open meeting of course depends on what we are going to discuss. But I’d certainly like to see a good portion of it in an open session,” Lever said.

Stokley added part of the discussion should also consider the format for the next community forum.

Lever anticipated asking the facilitator for recommendations.

Stokley said the other issue was the range of items raised during the community forum and the process involved in bringing those in for discussion.

Stokley added one of the other ideas was to increase the time limit to 90 minutes to include more topics and more discussion.

Another idea would be to have a theme for the meeting, he said, using the Big Lake as a possibility.
