Passed away in her sleep at St. Joseph’s Long-Term Care on January 14, 2026, 3 days before her 87th birthday. Pat is at peace after suffering for several years with Lewy Body Dementia. Wife of George for 64 years. Mother of Colleen Hunter (John), Paul (Leona) and Sandra Alblas (Rick). Grandmother of 7, great grandmother of 8. Daughter of the late John and Mary Curtis. Sister of Leo (late Shirley), the late Frank (Anne) and Irene Taylor (late George). Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Pat lived most of her life in Guelph Township (now Guelph Eramosa). She attended school in Eramosa. As a youngster, she attended 4H and later became a leader. After raising her children, Pat spent many hours volunteering in the community of Guelph.  She was a long time member of Holy Rosary Church and a proud member of Holy Rosary CWL where she volunteered many hours at church bazaars and assisting with funeral luncheons. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 7th at 10.30am at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St, Guelph, followed by a light luncheon. Arrangements entrusted to the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com. Donations in memory of Mom can be made to St Joseph’s Health Care Foundation or Guelph General Hospital. A tree will be planted in memory of Patricia A. Cook in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
