Exhibit - The Wellington County Museum and Archives held an exhibit opening on Sept. 15 featuring fibre art by the group Connections Fibre Artists titled Re: Fashion. Fibre art uses fibre materials such as cloth, paper or wood. The exhibit was organized by Ralph Beney, a member of the group.

Artist Elizabeth Litch said, “These artists do use traditional material, like paints and pencils adding fibre to add a 3D effect to their pieces.”

The opening was chaired by Litch and there were 25 exhibits in the main gallery at the museum.

“Apparently this is an up and coming form of art because the artists can actually touch it while they are making it and even use hand-dyed material,“ Litch said.
