Communities in Bloom application fails

Erin’s hope for the 2011 Green for Life Community award through Communities in Bloom has wilted.

Town manager Lisa Hass said Erin was unsuccessful in its entry for McMillan Park.

“We started off great, but the ones that won were  good. Our submission was good too,” she said.

“Maybe next year,” she added.

Skateboard park application

Hass told councillors recently the municipality has submitted its application to the Trillium Fund for a skateboard and BMX park.

“We’ll keep our fingers crossed to see if we are successful.”
