Cloverbuds visit Windy Acres

At the West Luther Cloverbuds meeting on May 25, we learned about horses at Windy Acres near Arthur.

We got to have a tour of the farm. We saw Duncan, a miniature horse, Ozzy and Dougall, clydesdales, Charlie, the Norwegian fjord, and more.  We also saw wagons, sleds and a carriage from 1900, which the horses can pull.

We learned how to put a Western saddle on Duncan.  We groomed Charlie and cleaned his hooves.

We learned a lot about the breeds of horses. We had a test about horse facts. We did a colouring page of a horse too.
