Clifford’s Life Outdoors Show supported by council for $1,500

MINTO – Council here will, for the third year, support Clifford’s Life Outdoors Show.

A letter was written to council by show organizer Sarah McGoldrick, requesting use of the Clifford Arena for the event at no charge, allowing 100 per cent of the donations received to go to the Clifford Rotary Club.

“Our community services director says the value of the rental is $1,500,” town treasurer Gordon Duff told council at a Dec. 2 meeting.

“Currently in our draft operating budget we have $10,000 for facility rental donations.”

Clifford’s Life Outdoors Show is slated for April 11 to 12, 2026.

“The show has brought thousands of people to the Town of Minto and raised more than $10,000 for the Clifford Rotary Club,” the letter states. “These funds are used to support countless projects throughout our community.”

Councillor Ron Elliott asked if extra staff will be needed for the event as workers will be on duty regardless.

“I presume that we do because it’s a Saturday and a Sunday,” Duff said.

Council approved the request unanimously.
