Clifford Truck Show donates over $7,000 to Clifford Rotary Club

CLIFFORD – The annual Clifford Truck Show raised enough funds from its three-day event to donate $7,100 to the Clifford Rotary Club.

“The [Rotarians] are building an addition to the pavilion,” show organizer Rob Johnston told the Community News.

The pavilion is located at 3 Brown St. S. in Clifford, next to a soccer pitch and baseball diamond.

The funds were raised earlier this year on the Canada Day long weekend.

“We like to give back,” Johnston said. “We usually try to donate $10,000 to $15,000 a year.”

Show proceeds will also be donated to the Walkerton and District Food Bank.

Johnston noted $2,000 is being donated there because many “people are hurting right now as the price of food is going up.”

“Anything we can do to help out families especially at Christmas,” he added.

Johnston picked the Walkerton food bank as it was recommended by a show sponsor.

“We reached out to one of the little towns around there [and] it’s still in our region,” he said.

As for this 2026 event, Johnston and show coordinator Chris Hall have already started planning.

“The truck show is going to be July 3 and 4,” Johnston said.

“It’s always Canada Day long weekend.”
