Clifford Homecoming 2017 souvenir sales going strong

Chair Bill Smith welcomed 18 committee members to a recent Clifford Homecoming 2017 meeting at Knox United Church.

It was reported souvenirs sold well at the Great Lakes Truck Club truck show with sunglasses and beverage coolers a big hit.

Don Senek feels volunteering at other homecoming events in the area will help provide volunteers when it is Clifford’s turn to host the party.

Creating a poster to reflect the Homecoming brand was suggested. The grist mill will be featured on an envelope to promote Homecoming 2017.

This month a booth will be set up at Wesley’s Bates art gallery and studio so people will be able to purchase souveniers and find out more News about the four day event August 4 to 7, 2017.

Visitors may also get a glimpse of some of the items being donated for the silent auction to be held at the New Year’s Eve dance party.

Displays continue to be changed at the library and Royal Bank to showcase local people and events.

A report was given on the Ayton homecoming noting the various events and entertainment used to keep the excitement level high.

International Plowing Match volunteer co-ordinator John Burgess opened the opportunity for the committee to have an information booth to generate publicity, public support and sponsors.
