Family and friends gathered at the Salford United Church on Oct. 12, 1957 for the marriage between Marion (Lynne) Manicom and Larry Nancekivell.

On Sept. 24, their family honoured their 60 years of marriage with a come-and-go tea welcoming friends at Knox United Church in Clifford.

Their children and spouses Dianne, Greg and Joanne, Brent and Sue, and Brenda and Curvin showcased the couple’s 60-year journey with photos, flowers, memorabilia and a slide show.

The journey started in Ingersoll where the couple rented an apartment until purchasing their first house in Salford. Larry worked for Wonder Bread and Lynne for the Royal Bank. In 1963, they moved to Clifford, purchased a 100-acre farm and milked cows over 35 years. They sold the farm and moved into a bungalow in 1988.

The family continued the diamond wedding anniversary celebration with a family dinner held at Knox.

The community congratulated the couple.
