MOUNT FOREST - The Mount Forest Christmas Bureau is helping local families this holiday season through its angel tree program.

“We are a group of dedicated, caring volunteers who make sure every family in and around the Mount Forest area have a Christmas.  Each family approved to our non profit organization, will receive everything they need to have a Christmas feast for the family, plus gifts/clothing for children under 18,” organizers state.

The program relies strictly on donations of food, clothing and gifts.  The bureau makes angels with participant’s requests and puts them on angel trees around town.

In addition to individual donations, many local businesses help by setting up a food drive, baby needs drive, toiletry drive or similar event.

How to help

Local residents can get involved by:

- picking an “angel” and buying them something they want for Christmas;

- donating food at the stuff-a-fire-truck event;

- organizing a drive at their place of employment;

- making a monetary donation to the Mount Forest Christmas Bureau via etransfer to Christmasbureaudonations@gmail.com.
