Charity quilting in Harriston
Charity quilting – The ladies of Harriston United Church put together over 90 quilts to send overseas to assist refugees. The group expressed thanks for all the donations of fabric that have been received from the community. The group is currently busy preparing for a Coronation Tea in honour of King Charles. The come-and-go event will be held on May 6 from 1:30 to 3:30pm with admission by donation. On May 12 and 13 the church will be running a rummage sale with a slightly different format than past years. People can fill a bag with clothing for $5, pick up household items for reasonable prices, or indulge in bake sale goodies. “Due to our unpredictable weather, this sale will be held completely indoors,” church officials stated.
